During his return, he becomes lost in a forest. Seeking shelter, he enters a dazzling palace. He finds inside tables laden with food and drink, which have apparently been left for him by the palace's unseen owner. The merchant accepts this gift and spends the night. The next morning as the merchant is about to leave, he sees a rose garden and recalls that Belle had desired a rose. Upon picking the loveliest rose he finds, the merchant is confronted by a hideous 'Beast', which tells him that for taking his (the Beast's) most precious possession after accepting his hospitality, the merchant must die. The merchant begs to be set free, arguing that he had only picked the rose as a gift for his youngest daughter. The Beast agrees to let him give the rose to Belle, only if the merchant will return, or his daughter goes to the castle in his place.

Belle and the Monster...
A wealthy merchant lived in a mansion with his three daughters, all of whom were very beautiful, but only the youngest, at fourteen, is named Belle for being lovely and pure of heart; her sisters, in contrast, are wicked and selfish. The merchant eventually loses all of his wealth in a tempest at sea, and he and his daughters must therefore live in a small farmhouse and work for their living. After some years of this, the merchant hears that one of the trade ships he had sent off has arrived back in port, having escaped the destruction of its compatriots; therefore, he returns to the city to discover whether it contains anything of monetary value. Before leaving, he asks his daughters whether they desire that he bring them any gift upon his return. His two elder daughters ask for jewels and fine dresses, thinking that his wealth has returned; Belle is satisfied with the promise of a rose, as none grow in their part of the country. The merchant, to his dismay, finds that his ship's cargo has been seized to pay his debts, leaving him without money to buy his daughters their presents.
The Beast agrees to let him give the rose to Belle, only if the merchant will return, or his daughter goes to the castle in his place.

The book had the craziest images and was filled with LOTS & LOTS of tongue twisting RHYMES. It was delightful and amusing; I have never ever seen any of those creatures at a ‘real’ circus before(let alone in real life)!!
The strange thing is, his imaginations are fuelled and supported by his friend (can’t remember his name), who offers to help him open the circus….so the book not only had an incredible fantasy journey, the book looked at the importance of friendships, how friends will support you when they can and allow you to dream big, because you can.

Of all the forms of courage, the ability to laugh is the most liberating
Laughter as we know best is part of a fun time but I also think it is liberating. When you are laughing for fun you relax, you become happy.
But besides fun moments, it is also important to laugh during the difficult ones. Having the courage to laugh about something that has been an issue is just as liberating. It makes the weight of the issue just drop from your shoulders. Sometimes it can become a crazy hysterical nervous laugh but it gives you the relaxing feeling too. It doesn’t mean that you don’t care about the issue anymore, you might even care a lot, but by laughing you take the stress off your shoulders and are left with only the issue to sort it out.
So I guess you should be brave and laugh away.
Only bad things happen quickly

― Gordon Livingston
In 1991 Livingston’s 22-year-old son Andrew committed suicide after a long struggle with bipolar disorder. Lucas, his youngest son, was diagnosed with leukemia six months later. That child died at age 6 after an unsuccessful bone-marrow transplant from his father.
How does one deal with such losses? Not with the aim of reaching closure about the experience, said Livingston.
In fact, he wrote, “Like all who mourn, I learned an abiding hatred for the word `closure’ with its comforting implications that grief is a time-limited process from which we all recover.”
'Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid'
Since we have three more blog posts left for the year, reflecting back, the topics have had one general theme/trend and that is: living OUT loud, living your best, expressing yourself, but most of all, having the courage to do so.
So, today, I’ll leave you with my last thoughts on this illusion called, fear.
By whatever name you prefer, many of us claim we believe in a higher power, angels, ancestors, the universe or whatever, yet too many of us act as though miracles aren’t possible, too many of us treat our peers, teachers, parents, siblings etc as though they are the ‘higher power’, too many of us struggle in isolation, too many of us fail to see the light, too many of us are our own enemy, too many of us have too little faith.
Your job is not the above, instead, your job is to trust the force, your higher power and call upon it for whenever you need assistance.
Today, I dare you to be bold, and I bet, mighty forces will come to your aid….
